Description
A beloved staple of Irish horticulture, Organic Narcissus ‘Tete-a-Tete’ is a top-choice miniature daffodil for early, reliable flowering. Its neat golden-yellow trumpets and reflexed petals appear in February and March, bringing cheer to containers, turf strips, and urban verges alike. Reaching just 15–20 cm, it thrives in smaller spaces where early-season impact and repeat performance are key.
Extremely tolerant of varying soil types, including sandy loam and compacted clay, ‘Tete-a-Tete’ performs best in sun or light shade. It forms tight clumps that expand over time and is ideal for naturalising in roadside banks, roundabouts, planters, and educational biodiversity plots. Though unscented, it offers pollinator support by providing nectar to queen bumblebees, solitary bees, and hoverflies at a critical early period.
Pair with Crocus tommasinianus, Iris J.S. Dijt, or dwarf Muscari for colour succession. Use in civic containers, park beds, and wildflower-integrated bulb layers.
