Organic Allium Violet Beauty is a special organically grown, large allium variety. Violet Beauty is also called the “fireworks” allium due to the somewhat “explosive” appearance. The plant bears spiky heads of flowers of varying lengths giving it a wild look. Individual florets are purple with green centres. The umbels can be more than 30-35cm in diameter. After flowering, the faded umbels remain decorative in the garden for a long time. Plant Violet Beauty in well drained soil in a sunny spot in your borders or in containers. Use to make unusual statements in cut flowers or centrepiece arrangements. This allium attracts butterflies and bees during flowering.
