Narcissus Tahiti

Narcissus Tahiti

Golden-yellow and fiery orange double daffodil, ideal for bold public displays and weatherproof spring colour.

Description

Narcissus Tahiti is a commanding double-flowered daffodil that delivers maximum impact with its vivid golden-yellow petals and ruffled inner segments of deep orange-red. Each flower stands out as a richly layered bloom with a peony-like silhouette, offering both colour saturation and intricate form. Growing to 40–50 cm, it flowers mid- to late spring and is celebrated for its strong stems, excellent weather resilience, and ability to naturalise in a wide range of Irish conditions.

Perfect for public-facing landscape projects, Tahiti excels in civic beds, estate driveways, institutional lawns, school grounds, and verges where high visual return is expected. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to fertile, well-drained loam or heavier soil amended with organic matter. Once established, it reliably returns with bold colour and structure, even in mixed herbaceous schemes or large-scale drift planting.

Its semi-double structure still allows limited access for pollinators and offers valuable seasonal presence in biodiversity-focused sites. Pair it with Hyacinth Jan Bos, blue Muscari, or deep purple Tulip Negrita for spring colour layering in municipal or commercial settings. Also suited to formal garden restoration projects and entrance bed plantings needing high contrast and floral bulk.
