Description
Narcissus Silver Chimes is a distinctive multi-headed, late-flowering tazetta daffodil, producing up to 6–10 blooms per stem with white reflexed petals and small, neatly rounded cream cups. Its spicy, citrusy fragrance is particularly strong, making it ideal for sensory plantings, cut flower production, and floral event displays. Growing 35–40 cm tall, it delivers a cloud-like mass of delicate blooms that perform well even in exposed Irish spring conditions.
Silver Chimes thrives in full sun or light dappled shade and prefers light, free-draining soil with a touch of organic matter. Perfect for raised civic beds, courtyard borders, rooftop containers, and cut flower beds. Its clustered habit makes it a bold, scented feature when massed along estate driveways, in municipal planters, or at school entrances.
Its late bloom time helps bridge the seasonal gap after mid-season tulips fade. Combines well with Tulip Danceline, or Allium Graceful Beauty for scented biodiversity planting. Pollinator interest is high, particularly for bees and hoverflies during late spring.
