Description
Narcissus Segovia is a dainty, low-growing miniature narcissus with strong visual purity and early pollinator value. Standing only 15–20 cm tall, each bloom features pristine white petals and a small, perfectly rounded lemon-yellow cup, providing sharp contrast and a clean, architectural aesthetic. Despite its size, Segovia’s tidy form and long-lasting flowers give it a commanding presence in naturalistic designs.
It is best planted en masse in sunny spots with well-drained soil — sandy, gritty, or chalky substrates being ideal. Segovia naturalises well in alpine beds, low retaining wall crevices, raised planters, and even green roofs, where its delicate structure can be appreciated close up. It also shines in reflective memorial gardens, child-friendly sensory areas, and near front-of-border paths in civic parks.
Fragrant and highly accessible to early pollinators, it works beautifully with Anemone blanda and early Crocus. An excellent ecological option for designers prioritising biodiversity with low-growing texture.
