Description
Narcissus Pueblo is a graceful, multi-headed miniature daffodil, prized for its soft creamy-white petals and subtle lemon-yellow cup that matures to ivory. Flowering in early to mid-spring, it forms delicate clusters of 2–4 blooms per stem on slender, upright stems reaching 25–30 cm, offering an understated, luminous presence well-suited to reflective, contemporary, or ecologically mindful planting schemes.
Though unscented, Pueblo offers genuine value to early pollinators, especially hoverflies, solitary bees, and small beetles — thanks to its open, accessible flower structure and early bloom timing. It excels in free-draining, sandy or loamy soils, and performs well in full sun or bright partial shade, tolerating coastal exposure and poor soils with minimal effort.
This cultivar is particularly effective in gravel gardens, courtyard borders, green roof systems, and biodiversity-friendly public edges where lightness, naturalising potential, and ease of maintenance are essential. It’s an ideal fit for city-centre planting beds, community gardens, and urban pollinator corridors, especially where height restrictions or limited root depth must be considered.
Pair with early-flowering Allium moly, dwarf tulips like Little Beauty, or Eranthis cilicica for a low-growing seasonal blend that delivers soft colour harmony, pollinator support, and subtle spring architecture across Irish climate zones.
