Narcissus Geranium

Narcissus Geranium

Fragrant multi-headed daffodil with white petals and orange cups. Mid-spring flowering with pollinator and cut flower value.

Description

Narcissus Geranium is a celebrated multi-headed tazetta-type daffodil, known for its clusters of fragrant, white-petalled blooms with small, fiery orange cups. Each sturdy stem carries up to six flowers, creating a showy, citrus-scented bouquet that lasts through mid to late spring. At 35–40 cm tall, ‘Geranium’ adds elegance and fragrance to formal borders, heritage plantings, and naturalistic schemes alike.

A versatile performer, it thrives in full sun or dappled light and prefers well-drained, fertile soils. It performs particularly well in sheltered locations such as walled gardens, courtyard beds, or south-facing borders. Due to its floriferous nature, Geranium is also popular for cut flower use and layered seasonal displays.

Its open cup shape offers good accessibility to hoverflies and early-season bees, especially valuable at a time when pollinator activity is increasing but forage can still be scarce. It pairs beautifully with late tulips, Camassia, or blue Anemone coronaria.

An excellent choice for fragrance-focused planting, mixed borders, and high-traffic amenity spaces where longevity and scent add spring drama.
