Description
Narcissus Chromacolor is an arresting large-cupped daffodil that pairs oversized white petals with a wide, fluted coral-pink cup — a cultivar designed for visual impact. With a flowering height of 40–45 cm and large, well-spaced blooms, Chromacolor stands out in both public and private garden designs where colour contrast is key.
Flowering in mid-spring, it is ideally timed to bridge the gap between early and late bulb waves. It thrives in sunny, free-draining sites and can be used effectively in formal borders, parkland beds, or urban commercial landscaping where a punch of bright yet refined colour is desired. The cup colour often deepens over time, adding further interest.
Chromacolor works beautifully in pastel bulb combinations with Muscari Valerie Finnis, pale Hyacinths, or Tulip Pink Impression and is well-suited to mixed perennial borders where spring bulb interest is layered into summer structure. Its open form provides good access for early pollinators and it naturalises well over time.
Use Chromacolor where you need reliable flowering, a burst of soft drama, and standout seasonal effect — particularly near entranceways, terraces, and in civic or hotel grounds.
