Narcissus Brackenhurst

Narcissus Brackenhurst

Vibrant red-orange trumpet daffodil with strong contrast. Ideal for bold planting schemes and wildlife-friendly spring beds.

Description

Narcissus Brackenhurst is a vibrant, large-cupped daffodil with vivid golden petals and a bold, flared deep orange-red trumpet, offering bold colour and architectural structure to spring displays. Flowering in mid-spring, it grows to 40–50 cm, making it perfect for council-maintained border plantings, high-visibility public beds, road medians or commercial green space enhancement.

It performs best in full sun and thrives in well-drained fertile soils, showing strong weather resistance and flower durability.  Its open, classic flower form is easily accessible to pollinators, particularly bees, offering pollen and nectar during a critical early-season window. It’s well suited to biodiversity planting schemes. Brackenhurst has excellent weather resistance and naturalises well, returning each year with minimal effort.

Brackenhurst is highly effective when planted en masse or in drifts alongside blue Muscari, white Anemones, or Hyacinth Delft Blue in structured or naturalistic layouts. It’s extremely well-suited to mechanical planting,  A top choice for designers seeking high impact with strong wildlife value.
