Description
Narcissus Bella Vista offers subtle refinement with its ivory-white petals and softly ruffled peach-pink trumpet, making it a top-tier choice for hospitality landscaping, memorial gardens, and high-spec residential design. Flowering in April, it provides a graceful late addition to narcissus schemes, extending the flowering season and enhancing succession planning.
Reaching 35–40 cm, ‘Bella Vista’ is a reliable grower in Irish conditions when planted in sun or light shade and prefers light, humus-rich soil with good drainage. Though not specifically bred for mass mechanical planting, its consistent bulb size means it can be planted when soil tilth is favourable.
It performs particularly well in containers, borders, semi-formal bed layouts, or public beds with mixed bulbs or perennials. Bella Vista can be planted in drifts in naturalistic planting schemes. The flowers are lightly scented and sit atop sturdy stems, making them ideal for cutting as well as garden display. While its double or flared trumpet form limits accessibility to some insects, it still offers light nectar and plays a role in early pollinator support. It combines well with Tulip Spring Green, white anemones, or Hyacinthus Carnegie in gentle-toned palettes. Mix with Puschkinia for an elegant seasonal combination.
