Lilium regale

Lilium regale

Tall, elegant and powerfully fragrant, Lilium regale produces trumpet-shaped white blooms with golden throats—perfect for classic and large-scale perennial schemes.

Description

A true stately favourite, Lilium regale is prized for its towering stems, each bearing multiple outward-facing trumpet blooms. Petals are pristine white with golden-yellow throats and a gentle flush of pink on the outer surface. These lilies offer a rich, heady fragrance that draws in both pollinators and admirers.

This species thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil. It’s remarkably resilient and is dependable in Irish summer landscape planting.  This bloom is suitable for everything from park borders to formal estate beds. Once established, Lilium regale will return reliably year after year in herbaceous borders, estate gardens, hotels, parks, sensory gardens  and historic garden schemes.
