Description
Lilium ‘Claude Shride’ is a standout martagon hybrid known for its deep mahogany-red, recurved petals flecked with gold. Flowering in early to mid-summer, it produces elegant downward-facing blooms on tall, upright stems.
This variety thrives in part shade and is especially well-suited to woodland-style borders, underplanting in mixed perennial schemes, or naturalising among ferns and hostas. This reliable perennial gives a strong vertical impact without dominating other planting layers in estate gardens, parks, or shaded civic areas. As with most martagon lilies, it’s highly tolerant of cooler, damper Irish summers and will naturalise over time once established.
Highly attractive to pollinators.
