Description
The flowers of the Iris germanica ‘Red Zinger’ have ruffly rich burgundy petals and falls, darker throats and a golden-orange beards. The lower petals are the so-called ‘beard’. That is why these Irises are also called ‘Bearded Iris’. The sword-shaped, grey-green leaves die off at the end of summer, but leaves appear in the fall.
