Description

Hyacinth China Pink is the epitome of soft elegance in the spring garden. Its densely packed, pastel-pink florets form tidy spires with an unmistakably sweet perfume. Flowering in early to mid-spring, it reaches around 20–25 cm in height, making it ideal for mixed bulb beds, cutting gardens, and pots where fragrance and visual softness are desired.

This variety excels in formally edged beds, courtyard containers, urban planting schemes, and shrub borders where subtle colour is appreciated. In naturalistic settings, it pairs beautifully with Chionodoxa sardensis, Puschkinia libanotica, and dwarf Narcissus Minnow for a layered tapestry of early colour.

Although not a top-tier pollinator bulb, it offers some nectar access for early hoverflies and solitary bees, especially on mild Irish spring mornings. Plant in well-drained, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade.
