Description

Galanthus elwesii is a robust snowdrop with broad grey green foliage and relatively large white flowers that perform strongly in shade and woodland planting. It is highly suitable for naturalising beneath trees, along estate drives and in the margins of shrub planting where early spring presence is needed. Compared with smaller snowdrop forms, it gives more immediate visual weight and is often preferred for larger landscape applications. As one of the earliest flowering bulbs, it also supports bees and other beneficial insects at a critical time of year.
