Fiery red blooms on tall, exotic stems. Includes planting instructions and a colour photo. Quantity – Outer of 5

Description

Fritillaria imp. Rubra is the impressive “Crown Imperial” boasting large rusty orange, hanging bell-shaped flowers and crowned with a tuft of bracts and glossy, lance shaped leaves at intervals along the stem. The strong smell that emanates from Fritiallaria imp. Rubra keeps mice and moles at bay naturally. It is advisable to plant the bulb in a sunny area at a slight angle when planting to prevent water from accumulating in the bulb. Due to its height, plant Fritillaria imp. Rubra solo or in small groups as a focal point in borders, beds, gravel, gardens, containers or between shrubs. Add to a mix of tulips, muscari or narcissus to add depth and interest to the display. Attracts butterflies and other pollinators.
