Fritillaria imp. Sunset

Fritillaria imp. Sunset

A rare and striking warm-toned fritillaria with glowing copper-orange bells. Pollinator-friendly and perfect for warm-toned spring planting or for statement planting in professional landscapes.

Description

Fritillaria imperialis Sunset brings a soft apricot-orange hue to the crown imperial family, offering a gentler take on the fiery reds. This cultivar reaches around 90–110 cm in height and flowers in early to mid-spring, making it an excellent early food source for pollinators such as solitary bees and hoverflies.

In Irish landscapes, Sunset adds warmth to mixed borders and naturalised spring schemes. Try pairing with Narcissus Actaea, Camassia leichtlinii Caerulea, or deep purple Tulip Ronaldo for balanced seasonal colour. Thrives in full sun with deep, well-drained soil. Avoid wet winter spots.
