Description
XXL pack of Freesia ‘Double Mix’ surprises with wonderfully fragrant double flowers that can be enjoyed from July to September. This Freesia produces large ruffled flowers growing to approximately 40 cm. This half-hardy variety is a problem-free garden resident that flowers easily. This mix hosts an array of colours, including reds, yellow, pink, and white. It is an excellent cut flower and can be combined beautifully with other summer Bulbs in bedding or borders or on the patio in planters. A good planting time is March-April. Plant tubers 5-7 cm deep and about 7 cm apart (in a 5 cm pot). Choose a spot in full sun for profuse blooms. Freesia grow well in fertile, humus-rich soil. Freesia also grow well in a nice flower pot or planter. Water these Freesia regularly because the soil around the tubers must not dry out. By regularly cutting off the spent flowers of the plant, you promote reblooming. Freesia are fairly hardy. Bulbs can be lifted after the first frost and overwinter them frost-free to replant the next spring.
