Description
Decorative Dahlia Akita is a large flowered summer bloom that gives pleasure from July until the first frost. Decorative Dahlia Akita I grows up to 100cm and the red with yellow petals tipped in white flowers are striking. This dahlia can carry the show alone or combines with perennials or other Dahlia varieties such as Meteorite or Rosella. Dahlias are a garden favorite as they are excellent cut flowers with a long vase life. Plant the tubers in a sunny area in spring as they are sensitive to frost. Be careful and don’t plant too early. Dig a spacious planting hole, loosen the soil and fill the planting hole with good potting soil. Carefully place the tubers in the planting hole and cover with 3-5 cm. soil with a planting distance of 30-60 cm and immediately. These tubers can be enjoyed for years to come if stored in a frost-free place after flowering.
