Dahlia Art Fair® I

Dahlia Art Fair is a compact Gallery series dahlia with simple white flowers carrying a fresh lime or soft yellow hint toward the centre. Suits Irish pots, containers, gardens, front borders and cutting,

Description

Dahlia Art Fair is a compact, highly controllable dahlia suited to Irish gardeners and horticulturists who want a clean, modern look in pots and tight border spaces. It makes a bushy plant that flowers steadily through summer and into autumn when kept fed and deadheaded. The colour sits in fresh white tones with a subtle lime to soft yellow lift toward the centre, which gives the bloom a brighter, greener glow than a flat white and helps it blend easily into mixed planting without clashing.  For professional horticultural use, Art Fair is a strong choice for container programmes, courtyard planting, entrance displays and repeated blocks where uniform habit and tidy presentation matter. It holds its shape well, stays readable in variable Irish light, and the restrained colour makes it useful as a linking variety between stronger colours in a schemes. Biodiversity note: this type is grown mainly for display and can be less accessible to pollinators than open centred single dahlias. If you want stronger wildlife value, plant nectar rich companions close by such as salvia, verbena bonariensis, nepeta, borage, phacelia, oregano or thyme. Plant after frost risk has passed, in full sun and free draining soil improved with compost. Keep moisture steady in containers, feed from bud stage onwards, and deadhead regularly to maintain continuous flowering.
