Description
The large-flowered, decorative Dahlia “American Dawn” blooms all summer from July until the first frost. Double salmon pink flowers appear from purple buds and sit on dark green foliage. This is the perfect flower to add to the border, planting beds or containers and is an excellent cut flower. Dahlia tubers should be planted in the spring in full to partial sun. However they are sensitive to frost, so don’t plant too early. The planting distance of the tubers is 30-60 cm and 3-5cm deep. Water the tubers immediately after planting. Store the tubers in a frost-free place after flowering and you will enjoy them for years to come. Dahlia “American Dawn” combines well with perennials and other Dahlia varieties due to its attractive colouring and foliage.
