Description
Camassia leichtlinii ‘Semiplena’ is a premium, double-petalled form of the classic meadow Camassia. These blooms offer creamy-white, star-shaped flowers arranged on tall, elegant spikes. Flowers open sequentially from the bottom to the top changing the display daily. Flowering in late spring to early summer, this variety thrives in rich, moisture-retentive soils—making it ideal for wetland edges, meadows, and naturalised areas in larger landscapes.
The double flowers provide a fuller appearance and a longer visual impact, especially when planted in drifts. It naturalises beautifully in park borders, institutional plantings, and swales where a naturalistic aesthetic is desired. Or it can be planted with other flowers along the coast, in gardens, borders, beds, prairies, meadows, banks or slope or under trees and shrubs.
Low maintenance and pollinator friendly.
