Camassia cusickii 12/14

Camassia cusickii 12/14

A resilient, moisture-loving bulb producing tall spires of soft blue blooms. Ideal for naturalised parklands, meadows, and damp borders.

Description

Camassia cusickii is a robust and reliable choice for landscape-scale planting, particularly in moisture-retentive soils. Native to North America and well-adapted to Irish conditions, this variety grows up to 100–120 cm tall, delivering spires of star-shaped, sky-blue flowers in mid to late spring that moves gently in the wind.

Perfect for use in damp meadows, woodland margins, or swales, Camassia cusickii thrives in full sun to partial shade. Its ability to naturalise over time makes it highly suitable for public planting schemes, biodiversity projects, and wildflower-style borders. A good companion with ornamental grasses, alliums and late blooming tulips. Low-maintenance and long-lived, this bulb provides excellent structure and pollinator support when planted en masse.
