Begonia Grandiflora Mix 5/6

Begonia Grandiflora Mix 5/6

25 Large-flowered grandiflora Begonia in different colours in a package with large colour photo and planting instructions.

The large-flowered Begonia ‘Grandiflora Mix’ can be admired for months as it is among the longest summer and autumn bloomers, flowering from June through October. This combination of red, yellow, orange and white Begonia have large rose-like flowers, growing to 25 cm. These easy to grow, powerhouse flowers look great not only in planters on the balcony or terrace, but also in the garden between the lower annual plants. The best planting period for Begonia is spring after the danger of frost has passed. Plant the tubers with their hollow sides up about 20 cm apart and cover them with a thin layer of moist retaining compost enriched soil, preferably in partial shade. However, if the Begonia is in full sun, make sure to water at least 2-3 times per week in the afternoon when there is no direct sun. Begonia can hibernate just fine if you take the necessary action. Remove the tubers from the ground when the first night frost is forecast. Keep them in a dry place during the winter. In the spring, when there is no longer a chance of frost, plant the Begonia back in the garden.
