1 Begonia Bolivensis Santa Barbara in a package with a large colour photo and planting instructions. (Quantity of 5 packs)

Begonia boliviensis ‘Santa Barbara’ can be admired for months as it is among the longest summer and autumn bloomers, flowering from June through October. ‘San Barbara’ is a beautiful trailing Begonia with cream to pure white bell-shaped flowers with a yellow centre that grows to 25 cm. These easy to grow, powerhouse flowers work well in hanging baskets or pots as they cascade gently over the edges. The best planting period for Begonia is spring after the danger of frost has passed. Plant the tubers with their hollow sides up cover them with a thin layer of moist retaining compost enriched soil. This variety of Begonia prefers full sun and is heat and drought resistant. Best results are acheived with full sun, rich soil, which is moist and well drained. Begonia can hibernate just fine if you take the necessary action. Lift tubers or bring pots into a dry cool area when the first night frost is forecast. In the spring, when there is no longer a chance of frost, plant the Begonia back outside.
