Description

Anemone Lord Lieutenant is a bold and very showy spring-flowering anemone, valued for its fully double flowers in deep violet-blue to purple shades surrounding a dark centre. The blooms have a layered, almost ruffled appearance that gives them real impact in the garden and makes them especially attractive in patio pots, raised beds and front-of-border planting. This variety works well in sunny, sheltered spots with free-draining soil and is also suitable for containers where its vivid colouring can be appreciated up close.
