Amaryllis Dancing Queen

Amaryllis Dancing Queen

Double Flowering

Description

Amaryllis Dancing Queen is a exquisite double flowering bloom that resembles a peony, making this a favourite. The plant boasts large, frilly-edged with alternating red and white striped petals atop a tall, sturdy stem. Easily forced indoors to bloom over Christmas, or any other time of the year, as it produces flowers approximately 6-8 weeks after planting. Best results when planted slightly above the soil in a container and placed in a dark area at room temperature (15-20 degrees) until shoots appear when it can be moved to a bright, sunny location. Turning the pot slightly every day will keep the stem straight. Once flowering is completed, bulbs can be stored and encouraged the following year or can be planted in sunny areas outdoors once the weather begins to warm.
