A favourite for many years, Allium Universe is larger than life as it produces large, loosely packed, purple flowers on globe shaped heads on stems that are not very tall . Best growth occurs when planted in fertile, well drained soil. Plant bulbs in a sunny area alone in clumps, or with ornamental grasse, other alliums, or between perennials or shrubs. This will surely create a dramatic effect. This allium attracts butterflies and bees during flowering. Suitable for naturalising.
