His Excellency is perfectly named as it bears royal pink flowers on a globe shaped heads of start-shaped florets. Best results occur when planted in fertile, well drained soil. Plant bulbs in a sunny area alone in drifts, or with ornamental grasses or other alliums, it will surely create a dramatic effect. Hi Excellency also works well when placed between perennials, or between low-growing shrubs. This allium attracts butterflies and bees during flowering. Suitable for naturalising.
