Description
Allium aflatunense is a standout mid-height ornamental onion that adds early summer structure and vivid colour to any planting scheme. Its spherical flowerheads, composed of tightly packed violet-purple florets make it ideal for punctuating borders, massing in civic spaces, or interplanting among contrasting alliums, ornamental grasses and perennials.
Highly attractive to bees and other beneficial insects, it offers both ecological and aesthetic value. This species performs best in well-drained soil with full sun but tolerates light shade. A dependable, naturalising bulb for minimal-maintenance schemes.
