Description
Alcea rosea (Hollyhock) Chater’s Double Red is a short-lived perennial growing to 175 cm tall. It produces tall rounded lobed, light green leaves that bear long spikes of double red flowers in the summer (which may need staking). Flowers should be sown in well drained, fairly fertile soil in full sun. These flowers are hardy and can be located in cottage and informal gardens, flower borders, beds, wall borders, trellises or along the coast.
