Description
Gladiolus Purple Art is well suited to customers who want a more refined colour tone for modern borders and cutting. Gladiolus are excellent for adding height among perennials and shrubs, and they also work well in dedicated cutting patches.
Plant in spring once the risk of hard frost is fading. Choose full sun and soil that drains freely. Encourage customers to plant in groups for impact, and to water after planting then keep moisture steady while growth is active.
In windy gardens, light staking prevents spikes from leaning or snapping. After flowering, leave foliage to feed the corm for next year. In autumn, lift corms in wetter areas, dry them and store frost free, then replant the following spring.
