2 Aquilegia Pink Barlow I

2 Aquilegia ‘Pink Barlow’ in a package with a large colour photo and planting instructions. (Outer of 5 packs)

Description

Aquilegia ‘Pink Barlow’ is a reliable double flower with multi-petalled blooms of lavender-pink. This nodding flower blooms May through July and is approximately 60 cm tall. Alquilegias (Columbine) are often considered charming, old fashioned cottage garden plants but can be planted in the border, or garden between shrubs or roses, in pots or containers, and they make a beautiful cut flower. Planting should be in a sunny or partially sunny area, fertile, moist but well drained soil. Aquilegias are known to self-seed and so interbreed freely meaning that often the seedlings don’t resemble the original plant. If you want to avoid this, you should deadhead the plants after flowering. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
