Description

Fritillaria meleagris Alba is a beautiful “Snakes Head Fritillaria” whose flowers are delicate, pendulous pure white blooms with green ribbing amid grass-like foliage. Fritillaria like to be planted in sunny or partially sunny areas with moist but well-drained, humus rich soil. Because of their height and pure colour, Fritillaria meleagris Alba are attractive in flower meadows, verges, edging in beds or drifts, and contrasts nicely with purple or blue muscari or chionodoxa. They do well in pots on a terrace or balcony. Suitable for naturalizing and its nectar rich flowers are attractive to bees.
