Description
Narcissus Toto is a compact, early-flowering miniature daffodil prized for its elegant form and soft creamy-white colouring. Each slender 15–20 cm stem bears clusters of 3–5 starry blooms, with pure white petals surrounding a delicate pale yellow cup. This refined cultivar is ideal for creating a subtle but striking effect in mass plantings, rockeries, raised beds, and urban containers. When planted en masse, Toto provides a luminous, low-growing carpet that softens hard landscaping and enhances seasonal transitions.
Thriving in full sun to dappled shade, Toto prefers sandy, free-draining soil with moderate fertility and good air circulation. It is perfectly suited for reflective memorial gardens, alpine troughs, school planters, graveyard margins, or commercial installations where planting depth is limited. Though not strongly fragrant, its open flower structure provides valuable early-season access to nectar for hoverflies and solitary bees.
Pair with Scilla mischtschenkoana, Crocus tommasinianus, or Anemone blanda for an extended flowering sequence and naturalised appearance in civic or urban planting schemes. Ideal for early-spring biodiversity corridors and miniature bulb displays in green infrastructure projects.
