Description
Narcissus Golden Echo is a refined jonquilla hybrid that offers an elegant take on the classic daffodil form. Each flower displays slim, ivory-white petals that curve slightly backward, revealing a prominent lemon-yellow cup that flares outward. Flowering in mid-spring at 25–30 cm, this compact and floriferous variety offers excellent performance in smaller planting schemes, containers, and low-maintenance beds.
Its sweet fragrance, strong return rate, and pollinator accessibility make it one of the most well-balanced daffodils for biodiversity-minded designers. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, particularly in gravel gardens, raised beds, urban planters, or wildlife-friendly borders.
The open trumpet form makes it highly attractive to honeybees, bumblebees, and hoverflies. Plant in clumps near seating areas or walkways to enjoy its scent and observe pollinator activity up close. Combines beautifully with Muscari, Crocus chrysanthus, and compact tulips like ‘Ice Stick’.
Golden Echo naturalises well and is one of the best jonquilla choices for low-input gardens with high ecological value.
