Description
Narcissus Golden Harvest is a robust and reliable early-flowering trumpet daffodil, prized for its uniform golden-yellow blooms, upright stance, and strong naturalising ability. Standing 45–50 cm tall, it flowers from early March, offering a consistent and low-maintenance solution for large-scale plantings across Ireland’s diverse soils and climates.
This cultivar thrives in full sun and tolerates heavy soils, coastal winds, and wet conditions better than many other, making it ideal for roadsides, school grounds, estate borders, public parks, and biodiversity corridors. It naturalises heavily, forming bold golden rivers of colour that return stronger each year.
Its classic open cup and early bloom time make it a critical nectar source for early bumblebee queens and hoverflies, particularly in years when spring weather is slow to warm. For extended flowering, plant alongside blue Muscari, early Crocus, or Iris reticulata.
Golden Harvest is a go-to daffodil for municipal planting schemes, woodland edge restoration, and sustainable bulk orders.
