Tulip Virichic

Tulip Virichic

Tulip Virichic is an elegant Viridiflora tulip opens pale pink before deepening to rose-pink, with fresh green central flames giving the flowers a refined two-tone finish in late spring.  This unique flower is suited to modern borders, designer planting and refined commercial displays for horticulturists, landscapers, hotels and county council spring schemes in Ireland.

Description

Tulip Virichic is a late tulip with colour, refinement and a lighter visual effect than heavier double or fringed varieties. The flowers open in soft pale pink and mature into deeper rose-pink tones, with a clear green flame running through the centre of the petals.  Virichic has a slim, elegant outline, with pointed and slightly reflexed petals. The green marking gives it the character of a Viridiflora tulip, while the pink colouring keeps the display warm and usable in premium planting schemes.  Virichic is also a useful choice for schemes that need a softer but still distinctive late spring finish.

Virichic is best used in areas where visitors can appreciate the flower shape and colour transition. It suits hotel entrances, estate paths, civic containers, public garden borders, courtyard planters, business frontages and Tidy Towns displays. The pink and green combination works well with cream tulips, white narcissus, blue muscari, soft pink tulips, purple tulips, Spring Green and late alliums.
