Description
Tulip Foxy Foxtrot is a warm-toned double early tulip with richly layered petals in shades of apricot, peach, salmon, and coral rose. Each bloom opens tightly cupped and gradually unfurls into a broad, peony-style flower with a painterly blend of warm tones that intensify as the bloom matures. Flowering in early spring, it provides bold colour contrast and a highly textured form that brings depth to compact schemes.
Reaching 25–30 cm, Foxy Foxtrot thrives in fertile, humus-rich, free-draining soils that retain enough moisture for spring root growth. It performs well in both full sun and lightly dappled shade and is excellent for urban gardens, courtyard containers, and municipal planters where structure and warmth are needed early in the season.
Its dense, double structure limits pollinator access, but its flowering time can overlap with more open-form bulbs like Chionodoxa Blue Giant, species narcissus Baby Boomer, or Muscari armeniacum, creating pollinator-supportive mixed displays. For full impact, plant in groups of 10+ with lower edging plants to carry structure through the transition into late spring.
