Crocus tommasinianus 5+

Crocus tommasinianus 5+

Species Crocuses

Description

Crocus tommasinianus is a favourite, early arriving crocus that has long, tubular flowerheads on top of narrow, grassy leaves. Also known as the Woodland Crocus, each flower may produce a different purple hue, varying from pale purple to deep, royal purple with possible paler outsides. Lovely in sunny or partially shaded borders, beds, gravel or rock gardens, wildflower meadows, banks and slopes, edging, or in pots on the patio or balcony. Crocus tommasinianus combines beautifully with other crocuses, anemones, Runbeckia or Agapanthus. Very suitable for naturalising. Bee-friendly.
