Description
One of the most famous and most striking alliums, Globemaster’s giant rounded, dark lilac flowers measures more than 20 cm in diameter and stand on strong, thick, straight stems. Planted in a sunny area alone in drifts, or with ornamental grasses or other alliums, it will surely create a dramatic effect. Globemaster works well when placed between perennials, or between low-growing shrubs. Best results occur when planted in fertile, well drained soil. This allium attracts butterflies and bees during flowering. Suitable for naturalising.
