Description
Shallots ‘Golden Gourmet’ is a full, hardy, very high yielding Dutch variety that can be harvested as early as July! It has golden brown skin and a mild taste. This shallot can be used raw or cooked. It stores well and has better bolting resistance than other varieties. If conditions are right, and the shallot is planted in fertile, moist, well-drained soil, in full sun, you should be able to start harvesting at 26 weeks. You will need to air-dry for a few days after lifting.
