The plant is easy to grow and flowers all summer. hairy foliage is decorative. Sinningia grows best in a pot with good potting soil. Provide drainage in the flower pot through sufficient holes in the bottom. Cover the bottom with potsherds or a layer of hydro grains. Fill the flower pot almost completely with soil and place the tubers of the sinningia in the pot. Fill with a layer of soil of about two centimeters and press firmly. Water generously immediately after planting. A sheltered spot in the partial sun is fine. Protect the sinningia from strong sunlight and drafts. A little water daily. Only water on potting soil, not on the leaves. Up to and including the flowering period, the potting soil should never become dry. In the autumn, after flowering, the sinningia no longer needs to be watered. Sinningia tubers can easily overwinter by keeping them dry and frost-free.
