Description
The Crinum powellii (Swamp Lily) has a thick fleshy stem on which the lily-like pink flowers stand. The thick and very long leaves are sword-shaped. The bulb should not be planted too deeply and likes a place in full sun.The Crinum is moderately hardy (-10°C) and therefore requires a sheltered spot with winter cover in the garden. The Crinum can also be planted in a pot. In a pot it is necessary to let the plant overwinter in a cool and frost-free environment.
