Dahlia Marble Ball is grown for its consistent ball shape and its blended, marbled colouring. The blooms are tightly formed and rounded, with creamy base tones overlaid by pink to purple marbling or shading, giving a softer patterned look . Ball dahlias are valued in planting because they keep their structure, look tidy in wet weather and provide dependable stems for cutting. It is a strong border plant and an excellent cut flower, producing plenty of usable stems for vases. Deadheading keeps the plant productive through the season. The marbled tones pair well with whites, silvers and lavender schemes, and blends neatly with grasses that add movement without competing. Marble Ball is not biodiverse so it is suggested that fo better wildlife value plant near echinacea, salvia, nepeta, verbena bonariensis, oregano, borage or phacelia. Plant after frost risk in full sun and free draining soil improved with compost. Keep moisture steady, feed from bud stage, deadhead regularly and lift tubers after the first frosts.
