Dahlias are popular as they are excellent cut flowers with a long vase life. Plant dahlia tubers in a sunny spot in the spring. Dahlias are sensitive to frost, so be careful and don’t plant too early. Dig a spacious planting hole, loosen the soil and fill the hole with good potting soil. Carefully place the tubers in the hole and cover with 3-5 cm. soil with a planting distance of 30-60 cm and water immediately. Store tubers in a frost-free place after flowering and they can be enjoyed for years.
