Description

Zantedeschia ‘Pink Puppy’ is a calla lily with special dark pink-white fluted flowers that can be planted either indoors or out. Plant the tuber in a pot with good soil and immediately place in full light and water regularly. The leaves of Zantedeschia develop first, followed by the striking flowers. After the danger of night frost has disappeared, Zantedeschia can be planted outside. Plant 10 cm. deep in humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun. When planting in flower pots and planters, always use new potting soil and keep well watered. In a garden with fairly moist soil, Zantedeschia can be combined nicely with hostas or Convalaria majalis.  If growing as a potted plant, place a saucer under the pot and always leave a layer of water in it during dry periods. Zantedeschia is not resistant to frost and is advisable to grow plants in a pot and overwinter them frost-free. Keep the potting soil on the dry side in winter. Water more in early spring and put Zantedeschia outside after the last frost.
