Narcissus Queen’s Day

Narcissus Queen's Day

Double

Description

Named in honour of the Dutch National Day, Koninginnedag, April 30th, Queen’s Day is a brightly, ruffled yellow double narcissus on strong stems. This flower boasts both their double and split trumpets, or layers of petals in a contrasting hue of yellow. Plant Queen’s Day in generous drifts through beds and borders, in pots, under trees or it can be used to naturalise in areas of taller grass verges, lawn edges, hedgerows or banks. It is beautiful in fresh flower arrangment. Best planted in full sun but will tolerate light shade, in a moist but free-draining soil. Allow foliage to die down naturally as this ensures nourishment for the next seasons growth. This late season will surely be a royal addition to the landscape.
