Description

Hosta ‘Blue Mouse Ears’ (Plantain Lily) is a mini cultivar. The blue green to gray green curled heart-shaped leaves create a symmetrical, oranamental mound resembling mouse ears. Lavender flowers appear along the flower stems in summer. The flowers rise above the leaves and give the plant extra decorative value. Hosta ‘Blue Mouse Ears’ is a beautiful foliage plant that looks great in a flower pot or just in the ground. This Hosta likes a location with partial shade to shade. Water your Hosta ‘Blue Mouse Ears’ regularly, the root ball must not dry out. Cut off the spent flower stems at the end of the flowering period. The Like most hostas it needs very little maintenance. Remove the dead leaves in the spring, soon you will see the ‘noses’ of the new shoots above the ground again. Hostas are very attractive in any shaded border between flowering perennials, such as Hemerocallis and Astilbes.
