A large, black-eyed, flower with violet-blue petals with mounds of finely dissected leaves. The velvety petals form open bowls until they open out further and createsaucer-ish flower plates. Mr. Fokker will appear in gardens, borders, beds, rock gardens or containers when planted in a sunny, sheltered area, in well drained soil. Good cut flower. Plant en mass for a stunning display or plant amount other anemones or perennials for a pop of colour. Suitable for naturalising. Anemones are so-called dormant bulbs. They must soak in a bowl of water for a few hours before planting. Needs dry dormancy after flowering.
